The State Development Squad assists swimmers in transitioning from the Junior Squad with all aspects of stroke technique, fitness levels and race skills to prepare for all competitions.

The State Development Squad caters for swimmers aged primarily 11 years and over who are working towards qualifying for the Queensland State Championships & to our multi-sport swimmers that can not attend the minimum requirement for the State Performance Squad.

Practice sessions focus on competitive racing in an educational environment.

Swimmers wanting to progress through the squad pathway begin attending 4 sessions per week (8 hours) and build up to 6 sessions per week (12 hours) depending on their age and ability.
